Richard Newman is an award-winning expert in Leadership Communication, Mindset and Storytelling,
Richard specialises in showing leaders how to speak with greater impact and influence. He is the author of the best selling books ‘You Were Born to Speak’ and ‘Lift Your Impact’ (published by McGraw Hill).
Richard’s clients include CEOs, Vice-Presidents and leadership teams across many industries, including Virgin, Expedia, EE, AXA, Microsoft and 3M. He also teaches the MBA students at London Business School.
Richard began his career in communication in 1995, when he lived in a Tibetan monastery in the foothills of the Himalayas for six months, teaching English to the monks. He then studied professional acting in London for three years, before launching his communication training company.
In 2014 he won the Cicero Grand Award, the most coveted award in the world for speechwriting.
Richard has been featured on BBC London Radio, Sky TV, Channel 5 News, in the Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, Forbes Magazine and BBC Breakfast TV.
Richard founded Body Talk in 2000. His first major client was a Formula 1 Racing Team, where he delivered over 1000 presentations and events for people from all over the world.
His team at Body Talk gain over 1,500 bookings per year to teach their clients, across 46 countries.
Richard’s team helped one client win over £1.2 Billion in new business in just one year, by improving the way they communicate, winning every single pitch.

In December 2018, Richard published “You Were Born To Speak”, documenting the knowledge and skills he had amassed in his 23-year journey while building a multi-million pound communication training business.

Due to the bespoke nature of Richards conferences, his time will be priced on an individual basis taking into consideration the focus, amount of attendees, and location. No talk is too small or too large. He only believes in providing dynamic presentations that get attendees the results they deserve.
