This year the Body Talk training team has worked with 400 trainee Financial Advisers from the St. James’s Place Academy to provide advanced communication skills to support them in launching their new careers. Over the course of a 3-week virtual learning journey the trainers focus on developing a dynamic communication style, influencing and engaging through storytelling, and building deeper client relationships. Through a blend of live virtual training in small groups, bitesize eLearning to revisit and consolidate the techniques, and assignments with personalised, video recorded 121 feedback from a Body Talk Communication Specialist. This interactive training provides tailored content and coaching to help trainees progress towards their goal of becoming successful and trusted Financial Advisers.

AtkinsRéalis has been a client of Body Talk for about 20 years and our strong partnership means we have the privilege of supporting many different teams and the exciting projects they’re working on. In 2023, we delivered 11 training events for the organisation, both virtual and in-person, with the majority of these being Masterclasses. From a conference session to help the Landscape Architecture team tell the stories of amazing spaces they’re designing, to quarterly development training to empower rising leaders, right through to ensuring apprentices and graduates embark on their careers with a toolkit of communication skills. As a rapidly growing biotechnology research company, M:M Bio was looking for communications skills training that would give their people structure and style to share the incredibly compelling work they’re doing. After finding Body Talk in 2022, we have become their partner for onboarding and upskilling colleagues across their group of four companies. Hosting eight Storytelling and Personal Impact Masterclasses, and a Peak Performance Mindset Masterclass Workshop at their company day to build excitement and enthusiasm for the year ahead. We are already planning sessions for 2024 and can’t wait to support the next steps in their journey.

In the final workshop, Michelle shared with the group that she’d successfully used the PRO storytelling structure to plan her narrative to pitch to her seniors to fund two additional full time employees in the department. This is an excellent result for Michelle and her learning group were delighted as everyone had contributed suggestions and feedback on how to make the narrative compelling and emotive. This really demonstrates the practicality of Body Talk’s training and shows the value of the combination of peer-to-peer and Body Talk trainer coaching practice time within the workshops to allow delegates to really understand and feel confident in applying the new techniques to their own workplace scenarios and communications.

An individual in HR at a global beauty company attended Body Talk’s 2-day Pitch & Present Course, an immersive, in person 2-day course. He was thrilled to share that he had successfully applied the PRO Storytelling structure when planning a strategy meeting. He proudly shared that not only did he feel more confident in presenting following the training; he was also able to plan and build his presentation in just 30 minutes, a task which previously would have taken hours! He has also been utilising the techniques in his day-to-day conversations.
