Media Marketing Training Courses

Media Skills Training

Led by our communication specialists with extensive radio and TV broadcasting backgrounds, the objective is to provide training for senior leaders and managers, focusing on media interviews, press conferences and public speaking. These skills can also be applied to conferences, networking and everyday working situations.

The delegates will learn how to build and structure their message to create a concise and memorable narrative and how to deal with challenging questions. They will develop their presenting presence and increase confidence in their abilities, learning a range of body language, voice and communication techniques.

We will show your delegates how to build rapport with their interviewer and audience and keep an interview on track and focused on the company message when faced with difficult questions.

This is a fun and interactive course that provides an opportunity to try new techniques and strategies in a supportive environment. We aim to make sure everyone leaves feeling comfortable and confident to deliver a compelling company message and promote their brand on any media platform.

How is the training structured?

This can be run as a face to face Course over a full day. Personal coaching will be in groups of up to 4 people to 1 trainer. With the two trainers, we can have group sizes of up to 8 people.

As a Virtual Learning Journey, this is typically 2-3 sessions over 2-3 weeks. Group sizes are also 4 to 1. Each sessions builds on the learning of the previous one, with assignments set in-between.

Does the training content differ?

For classroom and virtual delivery the content covered is exactly the same, however there is more personal coaching included during the in-person classroom training.

Both the classroom and virtual events are high energy and interactive to ensure the everyone is engaged throughout.

Equipment Needed?

We may need to host the training in a recording studio environment, depending on what the individuals are looking to focus their training on. The trainers will bring any additional equipment based on your needs.

For virtual delivery, delegates will need to download the relevant virtual platform and have a high-speed internet connection in order to attend the training.

I found the sessions incredibly useful. From defining my role as a mentor/presenter, structuring my story, working on my virtual delivery in a way that is natural to me and then putting it all together. The sessions have really allowed me to feel prepared almost 2 weeks before the meeting - both with the creation of my story and knowing how I want to deliver it in an impactful way to the audience.

It was practical, small sized groups, Emily was not only incredibly knowledgeable but encouraging. We also had a great framework to take away and practice with. I have been through a lot of comms/ impact training and although useful, it will get lost if there is nothing tangible to use directly after the formal training

The course gave me practical, actionable tips and insights. The format was very easy to follow, covering the theory and key points first and then allowing us time to present and receive feedback. It was a very insightful course and I have been trying to put what I have learned into practice since. Charlie Evans was a great instructor, facilitating the session well, engaging the class and making the content clear and relatable.
